The history of one-piece swimwear dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. During these times, more and more women were spending their time on the beaches, and also started to do water sports, which was gaining in popularity. The first one-piece swimsuits, however, were very covered and differed significantly from those that we can now admire in the pools or beaches. When the first costumes began to reveal the arms and thighs, they repeatedly aroused scandal. There was even a known case of Annette Kellerman, an Australian swimmer who was arrested on a beach for her skimpy beach clothing. Fortunately, times have changed, and the current fashion allows all women to choose a one-piece outfit according to their preferences.
