Beauty preparations for the trip

Still a holiday trip ahead of you? Or maybe you are one of those people who have planned two shorter holidays? It is also a great option - we like such "turbocharging" ourselves wink. No matter how long your vacation is, 2 things are certain:

- before leaving, you should pack properly to avoid hectic shopping on the spot (because what's another classic, relaxing shopping trip on vacation, right? laughing )

- taking care of a few details of your appearance before the holiday will give you 200% self-confidence during a blissful rest, and after returning, you will delight with your radiant image.
What and when to plan then?

One month before:

1. Dye your hair

If you color your hair regularly, plan your next treatment one month in advance of your trip. The sun can lighten your hair, especially in the first few days after applying the dye, so last-minute coloring could be just a waste of money.
You can also consider switching to a shade darker than usual - given it will brighten in the sun anyway - and then, if necessary, just tackle regrowth just before you leave. Then is a good time for an intensive moisturizing treatment that protects your hair from the drying effects of the sun.

2. Visit a dentist

It is worth checking the condition of your teeth before going abroad, especially abroad. An unplanned visit to the dentist on vacation is certainly nothing pleasant, and after all, on vacation, teeth are necessary to eat all these regional delicacies smile

Two weeks earlier:

1. Start exfoliating the epidermis

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin smoother, fresher and prepared for the sun's rays. If you plan to use self-tanning cosmetics before your trip - exfoliating treatments are simply necessary. You can use an exfoliating brush or glove in the shower with plain soap or body wash gel, or purchase an exfoliating scrub. Try to do this at least twice a week or more if your skin is not sensitive.

2. "Inventory" your cosmetic products.

Don't wait until the last minute to stock up on sunscreen, insect repellent and all other travel essentials. Make an inventory of what you have and need now. Don't be tempted to take the half bottle of sunscreen left over from last year on vacation as it may lose its protective properties over time. Also think about the skin's needs after the holiday. Skin exposed to the sun can be drier than usual, so consider face and / or body oil instead of your regular moisturizer. Tanned skin may only need a toning moisturizer, not a full foundation, plus it looks great with bold colors, so why not treat yourself to a bold coral or pink lipstick?

The week before:

1. Cut your hair

Although they need to be dyed in advance, the hair should be trimmed closer to the travel date so that split ends that are prone to sun damage can be trimmed as late as possible. Depending on how much sun, sea, and chlorinated pool water are exposed to your hair, you may need another trim when you return.

2. Henna of eyelashes

Even a waterproof mascara may not protect us from the "panda effect" after swimming in the pool or the sea. So why not give your eyelashes a rest and give up mascara during the holidays? Instead, try henna, which will allow you to enjoy darker lashes for up to four weeks - without worrying about smudging.

3. Organize your eyebrows

Well-defined eyebrows are the basis for a dazzling look, so adjust and shade them before you go. Just like your hair, the sun can also lighten your eyebrows, so a slightly darker shade than before can give you the color you want for several weeks.

The day before:

1. Shaving

If you use a razor, make yourself known as soon as possible before leaving. Then you will remove the need for another shave as much as possible, and maybe even avoid it altogether. You can also book
waxing at the beauty salon for long-lasting smoothness, without the need to take a razor with you.

2. Do a manicure and pedicure

Smooth heels, manicured nails - such preparation for flip-flops or open sandals is a must before departure. Light nails look great with a tan - it's best to choose permanent gel / hybrid nails instead of painting them yourself. Before you leave the salon, they will dry up, so without fear of damaging the paint, you will be able to continue packing.

3. Apply moisturizing masks

Sun exposure can dry out both your skin and hair, so treat yourself to extra hydration by applying a nourishing face mask (for example, when packing). A hair mask that usually has to stay on the head for a few or a dozen or so minutes is also a great option for the day before departure. We guarantee that after completing all, or at least the vast majority of these points, you will feel like visiting a spa, which will be a great foretaste of your holiday.
